Aminka Ozmun & Company Exploring New Niche of Sub-Genre

You don’t see depictions of black women and Asian men together in romantic happily-ever-lastingness, do you?  Not too often, anyway.  One author is determined to change this sad state of cultural affairs: Aminka Ozmun, who is also looking to join the eBook self-publishing trend that’s really taken over the business side of fiction these past two to three years.  Aside from her and a few other writers, there isn’t all that much available anywhere when it comes to the sub-genre of interracial romance and Asian men/black women.

Will 2012 be the year to watch out for?  There are various online communities comprised of just such a demographic, suggesting a strong if still niche interest in this kind of content.  But because mainstream publishers have not stepped in to fulfill demand, enterprising authors like Ms. Ozmun wind up taking a leading role in shaping the contours of such fiction.
